Some clever geniuses felt your regular shoes just didn't have enough integrated CD-ROMs, speakers, tweeters, and a volume control knobs, so they put this little concept together. Forget the fact that there's no way a CD will read in a moving shoe, but look at it. I mean really, look at it. It's like how they predicted the shoe of the future would look like in the 80's.

Here are the very latest Skate shoes for women from top alternative footwear brand Vans.

Vans Skate Shoes For Women

Vans Lavi 2 Skate Shoes. These are functional and comfy shoes with leather uppers, classic blucher construction, quarter v woven detail, padded tongue and collar, and SBR rubber cupsole.

Vans Lynzie Check Skate Shoes. These new skate shoes have suede uppers, blucher construction, large aplique graphic logo in heel, padded tongue and collar, and SBR rubber cupsole and second pair of laces.

Vans Pomona Skate Shoes. This cool and new athletic styled Vans skate shoes have patent leather & leather upper with toe, and heel and quarter overlays for durability.

After previously release a low cut sneaker in collaboration with Nike, A.P.C. has now come out with a mid top tennis shoe for summer 2009. The canvas sneaker features a white upper, rubber sole and rubber toe cap. It is now available at A.P.C. stores.

For Spring 2009, DC continues their Artist Remix Series project with Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. Mike designed another pair of low top sneakers for Spring 2009, using traditional Japanese patterns and Koi scale textures as a theme for the project. Unique to his shoes are clear Koi scale patterned soles that reveal Mike’s artwork embedded in the footbeds. Renditions of Mike’s latest works are also found on the shoes uppers, insole and outsoles, with his signature stitched into the shoes’ heels. Accompanying each pair of shoes is a limited edition booklet of Mike’s artwork.

DC Shoes x Darren Brass Spring 2009 Collection

Tattoo artist Darren Brass from Miami Ink joins DC with seven unique collaborations for its Spring

2009 collection. The artist, skateboarder and self-proclaimed sneakerhead developed two men’s and two women’s shoes, two hoodies and a New Era cap incorporating his tattoo and graffiti inspired art for the DC Collection.

Growing up outside of New York, Brass spent his time with skateboarding and graffiti throughout the city streets. He parlayed these early influences directly in to his DC project. For the DB Pure SE, Brass accented the black and grey shoes with bright graffiti art of a subway car. Brass then played with the shoes’ leather texture to mirror the cracked concrete of New York’s city streets where he spent his youth. A grey DC hoodie compliments the shoe, sharing the cracked concrete pattern from the shoe as an all over print. A kitted New Era cap features Brass’ subway car art paneled in a DC logo.

Brass created his second shoe, the DB Character, straight from his days bombing the city walls. The shoes’ side panels have been hit with a DC logo piece over his illustration of a grimy city street. Offered in black and white, his second shoe is a call out to the early days of Brass’ graffiti career.

Oh, my god! The Nike Air Yeezy is really an enigma and it may be the most mysterious shoe of the year. To create his two women’s DC shoes, Brass mixed his art with dynamic material and colors. His “Grapes of Wrath” shoe mixes his custom grape illustrations with cork overlays and purple suede paneling and sole on DC’s popular mid top Manteca model.

For his second women’s shoe, Brass incorporated a woven basket paneling with a textured “peach fuzz” suede and green laces and sole. Paneled with his peach tree illustrations, the shoe has been dubbed the “Peach Basket”. An accompanying hoodie shares the theme, with an allover fruit print. Both models of the DC Women’s DB Manteca LE and FLC hoodie are available at retailers worldwide.
